We are currently looking for Kitchen Assistants to support our chefs in delivering high-quality meals in a caring and collaborative environment. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Nelson.

Kitchen Assistant – Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Assistant at Summerset’s Richmond Village, you’ll support the kitchen team in ensuring residents enjoy healthy, delicious meals every day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with basic food prep (e.g. peeling, chopping, portioning)
- Helping with plating and meal presentation
- Operating dishwashers and maintaining hygienic standards
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and compliant with food safety rules
- Receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries (including rotating stock)
Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing and happiness of our residents—bringing both care and quality to their daily dining experience.
