Overview of Education, Experience and Credentials
We are looking for individuals who bring the following qualifications, skills, and attributes to the role:
Experience & Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in car grooming or a similar automotive role
OR a relevant tertiary qualification in lieu of experience - Must hold a Class 1 Full NZ Driver Licence or a valid International Full Licence
- Prior experience with automotive cleaning and detailing products is desirable
Skills and Attributes:
- Keen attention to detail and high cleaning standards
- Knowledge of car detailing techniques (e.g., waxing, polishing, interior grooming)
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Car Groomer – Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Car Grooming Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Washing, waxing, polishing, and detailing vehicle exteriors and interiors
- Cleaning and conditioning upholstery, carpets, dashboards, and trims
- Applying protective coatings and automotive products
- Inspecting vehicles for imperfections and reporting issues
- Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Adhering to health, safety, and environmental procedures
