PLUMBER – TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
- Locating and marking positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
- Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings
- Joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment
- Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required shape and size
- Installing, testing, and maintaining water supply, drainage, and piping systems
- Testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Estimating costs and materials for projects
- Scheduling personnel, tools, and equipment for tasks
OVERVIEW OF EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS
24/7 Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
- 3 to 5 years of plumbing experience
- Valid work authorization in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
- Strong knowledge of commercial and residential plumbing systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong technical plumbing skills and knowledge of tools/equipment
- Physical stamina for demanding tasks (lifting, crouching, kneeling)
