VETERINARIAN – TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through examinations or laboratory testing
- Treating sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery
- Vaccinating animals to prevent and manage diseases
- Advising clients on feeding, housing, hygiene, breeding, behaviour, and overall animal care
- Performing routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations
- Providing veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia
OVERVIEW OF EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS
Northern Lights Veterinary Clinic is seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Degree in veterinary medicine (required)
- Experience in a veterinary practice is an asset but not mandatory
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Canada (or eligibility to obtain)
- Work authorization in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
