Overview of Education, Experience and Credentials
We are looking for candidates who bring the following experience, skills, and attributes to the role of Health Care Assistant:
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Primary Health or General Practice setting
- Experience with Medtech Evolution is an advantage
- Note: This role is not suitable for those with only aged residential care experience
Education:
- Formal qualifications in healthcare support or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Skills and Attributes:
- Confident with clinical systems and computers
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent phone and face-to-face manner
- Able to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced setting
- Collaborative team player who can prioritize workloads
- Passionate about working with Pasifika culture and making a community impact
- Committed to reducing health and social inequalities
Health Care Assistant – Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Health Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting medical staff in patient care and triage
- Supporting clinical and administrative operations
- Managing and updating patient records
- Ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-desk experience
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health safety standards
- Supporting the smooth functioning of the clinic across various teams

This is a clinic-based role that requires a caring, culturally aware, and community-driven individual. You will be working regular weekday hours with no shift work, making this a stable and rewarding role for the right candidate.
