Overview of Education, Specialization, and Credentials Required for the Job
THE OXFORD is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
Languages: English (required)
Education: Hospitality or customer service training preferred but not essential
Experience: Previous waiter or front-of-house experience essential
Skills:
- Confident and personable with excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge or interest in craft beer and wine (training provided)
- Ability to provide warm, genuine hospitality to every guest
- Willingness to learn and grow within a professional hospitality team
Tasks and Responsibilities
As an Experienced Waiter, your key responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and seating guests with genuine hospitality
- Taking food and drink orders and delivering service efficiently and accurately
- Providing knowledgeable recommendations from our food and beverage menus
- Maintaining clean and organized tables and service areas
- Supporting the front-of-house team in creating a welcoming environment
- Contributing to team meetings and staff wine tastings
- Assisting with opening/closing duties and setup for shifts
Additional Requirements
- Must be available for days, nights, and weekends
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Duty Manager’s Certificate (R18+)
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong work ethic and personal presentation
