Overview of Education, Specialization, and Credentials Required for the Job

THE OXFORD is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

Languages: English (required)

Education: Hospitality or customer service training preferred but not essential

Experience: Previous waiter or front-of-house experience essential

Skills:

  • Confident and personable with excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge or interest in craft beer and wine (training provided)
  • Ability to provide warm, genuine hospitality to every guest
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a professional hospitality team

Tasks and Responsibilities

As an Experienced Waiter, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and seating guests with genuine hospitality
  • Taking food and drink orders and delivering service efficiently and accurately
  • Providing knowledgeable recommendations from our food and beverage menus
  • Maintaining clean and organized tables and service areas
  • Supporting the front-of-house team in creating a welcoming environment
  • Contributing to team meetings and staff wine tastings
  • Assisting with opening/closing duties and setup for shifts

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available for days, nights, and weekends
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Duty Manager’s Certificate (R18+)
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Strong work ethic and personal presentation
