Job Requirements:
LET’S WORK IN NZ LTD is looking for a General Motor Mechanic who meets the following criteria:
- Languages: English (written and verbal)
- Experience: 3 years of experience working as a mechanic specializing in passenger vehicles OR any Mechanical Trade Qualification.
Skills and Abilities:
- Hands-on experience with automotive repairs
- Ability to learn and adapt to new repair techniques
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities & Tasks:
As a General Motor Mechanic you will be responsible for the following
- Repair and replace defective engine parts and accessories
- Collaborate in identifying and diagnosing vehicle problems using diagnostic scan tools
- Perform standard mechanical repairs such as changing brake pads, discs, CV boots, and suspension bushes
- Learn and apply repair techniques under the supervision of an experienced mechanic
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotations
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workshop and customer areas, including inventory management
- Respond to phone calls, providing quotes and offering information to customers
- Support in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues efficiently
