We are currently seeking Qualified Automotive Technicians to join our team in Poukawa, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. This is a full-time, on-site position for experienced and driven individuals ready to advance their automotive careers in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Qualified Automotive Technician – Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Technician at Bartons, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services to our valued customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and routine servicing
- Identifying mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions
- Using manufacturer diagnostic systems and tools
- Completing documentation and service reports accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work area
- Providing exceptional service in a team-focused environment
- Participating in ongoing training and development programs
Overview of Education, Experience, and Credentials
We’re looking for motivated individuals who are technically skilled, customer-focused, and ready to grow with us.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive workshop
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across a range of makes and models
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Current driver’s license
