Truck Driver (Class 5) Needed in New Zealand
Camex Civil Ltd is looking for an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join its Cambridge-based civil construction team in Waikato, New Zealand. This is a full-time opportunity for a driver who wants to do more than simply operate a truck and is willing to support wider project operations.
The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced site crew on infrastructure, commercial construction and subdivision projects throughout the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Class 5 Truck Driver at Camex Civil, you will play an important role in supporting civil construction projects. The position combines heavy vehicle operation with practical assistance on project sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating Class 5 heavy vehicles on construction and project sites.
- Transporting materials required for civil construction activities.
- Supporting the safe loading and unloading of materials.
- Carrying out pre-operational vehicle and machinery checks.
- Performing minor machine maintenance tasks when required.
- Supporting project delivery and site operations beyond driving duties.
- Working closely with site crews and machinery operators.
- Maintaining safe movement and workflow around other vehicles, machinery, structures and underground or overhead services.
- Following company safety, quality and operational procedures.
- Contributing to efficient completion of project tasks.

OVERVIEW OF EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIAL
This role is suited to an experienced heavy vehicle driver who enjoys working as part of a civil construction team. Camex Civil is seeking someone who is prepared to contribute to the wider project rather than focusing solely on truck driving.
Saturday work may be available when required, but it is not mandatory.
- Full Class 5 Driver License.
- WTR endorsements.
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Experience operating an 18-speed Road Ranger.
- Previous experience in civil construction, heavy transport or related industries is advantageous.
- Good physical fitness due to the practical nature of the position.
- Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and active construction sites.
