Overview of Education, Specialization, and Credentials Required for the Job

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Languages: English is preferred but not required
  • Education: No formal educational requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months driving experience with a Class 2 license
  • Special Skills: Clean driving record, experience delivering goods, physical fitness to handle heavy items, customer service skills, and flexibility with weekend shifts
  • Additional Requirements: Current Dangerous Goods endorsement (or willingness to undergo training)

Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Class 2 Driver at Genesis, your primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely operating Class 2 trucks for LPG gas bottle deliveries to residential and commercial customers
  • Ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of pre-filled LPG cylinders and taking away the empties
  • Checking the manifest, adjusting the preloaded truck, and performing stocktaking and cylinder maintenance
  • Providing excellent customer service while out on deliveries, answering questions, and solving problems as required
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and reporting any maintenance issues
