Overview of Education, Specialization, and Credentials Required for the Job
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Languages: English (required)
- Education: Relevant NZ Level 4 qualification in painting, or at least three years of hands-on painting experience
- Experience: Proven experience in painting, varnishing, wallpapering, and working at heights/elevated work platforms
- Special Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
- Additional Requirements:
- Two contactable references
- Ability to pass a police check and drug test

Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Painter, your primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to protect, maintain, and decorate surfaces of buildings and structures
- Completing daily work assignments and ensuring they are signed off for completion and quality
- Working unsupervised and within a team to meet project requirements
- Demonstrating high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Communicating effectively in English
