Overview of Education, Specialization, and Credentials Required for the Job

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Languages: English (required)
  • Education: Relevant NZ Level 4 qualification in painting, or at least three years of hands-on painting experience
  • Experience: Proven experience in painting, varnishing, wallpapering, and working at heights/elevated work platforms
  • Special Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Two contactable references
    • Ability to pass a police check and drug test

Tasks and Responsibilities

As a Painter, your primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to protect, maintain, and decorate surfaces of buildings and structures
  • Completing daily work assignments and ensuring they are signed off for completion and quality
  • Working unsupervised and within a team to meet project requirements
  • Demonstrating high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Communicating effectively in English
