Overview of Education, Specialization, and Credentials Required for the Job
We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
Languages:
English (required)
Education:
Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience:
Experience is an asset, but not mandatory
Certificates & Licences:
- Valid Class 5/5F/G Driver’s Licence (cars, small trucks)
- Provincial Driving Instructor Licence (required)
Skills and Requirements
Key Skills:
- Instructing students on driving techniques and safety practices
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to assess driving skills and provide constructive feedback
- Confidence in working one-on-one with learners
- Ability to maintain records and follow safety procedures

Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Driving Instructor, your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching individuals how to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Explaining road signs, traffic laws, and defensive driving techniques
- Monitoring and evaluating student performance
- Providing detailed, supportive feedback and training for licensing exams
- Ensuring all instructional vehicles are safe and well-maintained
- Keeping accurate records of lessons and progress
